This Privacy Policy explains how TickerScribe ("Provider", "we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when the user accesses tickerscribe.com (the "Service").

1) Data collected

Account & identity

  • Email address (email/password sign-in)
  • Basic profile data from Google Sign-In (typically email, name, profile image), depending on what Google provides and what the user approves

User Content

  • Trade records, notes, imports, and other content the user submits

Technical data

  • IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, timestamps, and error logs

Cookies / similar technologies

  • Essential cookies for login/session/security
  • Google Analytics cookies only when enabled/consented where required

2) How data is used

Data is used to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (authentication, saving/displaying User Content)
  • Secure the Service (fraud/abuse prevention, monitoring, debugging)
  • Improve the Service (performance, reliability, product decisions)
  • Send service-related messages (e.g., security or policy updates)

3) Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics may be used to understand usage and improve the Service. Where consent is required, analytics is disabled until consent is provided. The user can also limit cookies using browser settings.

4) Service providers

Provider uses third-party providers to run the Service:

  • Vercel (hosting and delivery)
  • Supabase (database and authentication, and storage if used)
  • Google (Google Sign-In; and Google Analytics if enabled)

These providers may process personal data to deliver their services.

5) Sharing

Provider does not sell personal data. Data is shared only:

  • With the providers above to operate the Service
  • If required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security, or to enforce Terms

6) International processing

Providers may process data in multiple countries/regions. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for cross-border transfers.

7) Retention

Account data and User Content are kept while the account is active.

The user can request deletion; deletion will remove account data and User Content within a reasonable period, except where retention is necessary for legal/security purposes.

Security and error logs may be retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

8) User choices and rights

Depending on the user's location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, object, restrict processing, obtain a copy of personal data, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Requests can be sent to the contact email below.

9) Children

The Service is intended for users 18+ and is not directed to children.

10) Changes

Provider may update this Policy from time to time by posting an updated version on the Service. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Policy.
